Front Office Manager

An  exciting opportunity has arisen for a professional Front Office Manager with a luxury 5 star Hotel within the Maltese Islands.  The ideal candidate will play a key role in the management and development of the Front Office Department, co-ordinating with other resort departments by maximising the rooms revenue and providing the customer care comfort as projected by the company's image, thereby contributing tangibly to the attainment of the resort's financial results.

Responsibilities

The Front Office Manager would be responsible for co-ordinating all reservations and allocate rooms according to client requirements.  Apart from this, he or she would also need to lead and direct receptionists, front office and reservations clerks, and porters.

Requirements

Front Office Managers are often faced with difficult choices when it comes to bookings so as to make the maximum amount revenue from accommodation, this implies that the front office manager should have a strong background in reservations. Excellent customer skills and a recognised qualification in hotel management are also important. A minimum of 5 years experience in the same field is also required.  She/he is to keep abreast of any developments in what is happening around the world in the running of the department, not only in customer oriented improvements, but also in the development of software programmes to draw the management's attention to new front office technologies that are being created from time to time.
