Our client, an multinational construction company  is seeking to engage the services of a project scheduler for one of its offices in Qatar. 

The successful candidate would be :

• Responsible for the updating and maintaining of detailed/summary construction schedules as well as interface critical path method (CPM) schedules for section(s) in assigned Project Area.
• Collects progress data from Construction site on a daily basis and produces a daily work area summary.
• Reviews and analyses contractors' construction schedule tracking progress, shop drawings and material submittals, material delivery, manpower levels, and plant and equipment.
• Identifies trends, action items, and critical issues for assigned section(s).
• Performs cost/schedule impact analyses.
• Assists in the preparation of weekly and monthly reports as well as frequent Project Area Reports.

This post calls for a candidate having a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, construction management, or a related technical field plus a minimum of 5 years experience in planning and scheduling for major engineering and construction projects. A strong working knowledge in Primavera is essential together with knowledge of structured activity coding . Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Project is also important. Preference would be given to candidates who are proficient in English.
