The Unix Support Analyst
will work within the group providing support to current Unix systems. The
role will include project implementations and enchancements as required.
Main
Duties/responsibilites

Configuration / Support of E10K
servers and other large Sun servers
-
In depth understanding of consolidation
issues on Solaris and Sun Hardware
-
Excellent knowledge of Veritas
filesystem, volume and cluster manager products
-
Detailed knowlege of Solaris
internals (2.6 and 2.8)
-
Able to size and arrange procurement
of Sun hardware
-
Provide 24*7 on-call support
on a rota basis
-
O/S installations including
jumpstart
-
Performance monitoring and tuning
-
Scripting
-
Perl & C programming
-
Capacity reporting and planning
-
Problem solving
-
Interfacing with development
and vendors
The Ideal candidate should have:

Several years experience of
Solaris and Sun hardware in a mission critical environment.

Currently holding a senior Unix
position, energetic, ambitious, attention to detail, results oriented,
communication skills, team player, customer focus, analytical skills
